The Centre of Research Excellence in Suicide Prevention (CRESP) is led by an Executive Committee, chaired by Prof Helen Christensen, and six subcommittees; Research, PhD and Training, Translational/Community, Consumer, Scientific Workshop and Database. The Executive Committee makes decisions regarding the prioritisation and implementation of research, including ensuring there is no duplication of research efforts. The Executive Committee is advised by an Advisory Board, which includes representatives from Government and other major policy groups, health professionals, major organisations involved in suicide prevention, researchers and consumers.

As part of building capacity in suicide prevention research, CRESP also aims to attract and train high quality higher degree research students and post-doctoral researchers to be the future of suicide prevention research.

The CRESP Project Coordinators (Ms Hannah Buckley and Dr Karolina Krysinska) provide administrative support through both coordination of day-to-day activities to facilitate collaboration between CRESP members and the implementation and delivery of CRESP's communication strategy.
